Welcome to The Fast and the Fabulous! This was a blog based on one woman's thoughts, opinions and experiences involving NASCAR and IndyCar. As of February 20, 2015 this blog is no longer active. Find out why & browse the archives by clicking here.
I finally have time to write things and tell you what I’ve been up to lately. As I said in my last post my day job took over my life in the past month because we were busy launching a major website redesign project for our client. That client is Audi USA. I spent the last 11 months of my life on that project and it’s finally here so check it out. It really is a major step forward for automotive websites and websites in general.
But on to racing…
So Tony Stewart won at Dover last weekend and that was super cool! 🙂 It’s really funny to me how someone can be “down and out” one second and then just like that they’re back on top of the world. One win can change everything.
I missed the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 because I was at work, but I watched both races. Well, I should say that I fast-forwarded through them, but I got the gist. I was really happy for Tony Kanaan, even though he won under a caution. They really need to do something about that. Last year’s Indy 500 ended under a caution too and it’s totally not satisfying.
One of my awesome ‘Fabulous’ readers, Sumer, went to the Coca-Cola 600 and took a bunch of great photos. You can check them out in the gallery above, along with others I grabbed from various places. Sumer also happened to be out on Lake Norman after the race and spotted Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. together on a friends boat. Those photos are in the gallery, too. Thanks so much for sharing, Sumer! 🙂
